10 Best Tablets Under Rs30,000 in 2026 | Pros, Cons, Features1. Google Pixel 9a
If you're an avid Android enthusiast, there’s very little reason to look past the Google Pixel 9a. I must admit, it’s the most complete
Android phone under $500 and a go-to choice for a phone replacement in 2026.
There are improvements in the Pixel 9a over the previous Google Pixel 8a model in terms of design and software. Note, they launched at prices that are almost identical, $499, but they have dropped a bit.
When comparing the Pixel 9a with previous versions like the 8a, the increase in battery life is the top talking point. It’s not just the battery that has changed, but the processor efficiency, giving users almost 6 hours of extra power on the low-power mode.
There’s also a marginally larger 6.3-inch P-OLED display which registers 2,700 nits at peak brightness.
Also, a design overhaul means there’s a more compact and comfortable flat frame without a protruding dual-lens camera array. A first, for Google’s Pixel devices which were notorious for their camera bumps.
For the processor, Google has stuck with the same SoC that powers the other Pixel 9 devices, which is the in-house developed Tensor G4. When coupled with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage, the chipset handles any task you throw at it without a glitch.
The Google Pixel 9a comes with Android 15 installed, Google Gemini, and several of Google’s other AI-powered apps. The cherry on the top is a promise of 7 years of major OS and security updates.
Google may be predictable with their dual-lens primary camera setup, but it actually delivers results on par with some of the best Android camera phones out there. The cameras are supported by complementary features and tools including Face Unblur, Astrophotography, etc.
The phone houses a 5,100mAh battery and supports 23W wired charging and somewhat underwhelming 7.5W wireless charging.

2. Samsung Galaxy A36 5G
Samsung’s Galaxy A Series devices are thriving in most parts of the world, including the USA. Phones like the Samsung Galaxy A36 don't disappoint and I feel its a contender for the title of best budget Samsung phone for both Android and Samsung fans.
The electronics giant is popular for its spectacular screen technology and they also supply to other mobile manufacturers. Featuring a resolution 1080x2340 pixels and 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen are the standout features of the phone, making viewing anything on it a pleasure.
Despite being among the most
inexpensive Android phones, it houses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip and a fixed RAM and storage setup of 6GB and 128GB.
The primary 50MP, ultra-wide 8MP, and macro 2MP cameras pleasingly fixed onto the rear of the device capably manage basic photography. Unfortunately, the results can’t match those of the
best budget android phone for photography.
Samsung has made it a habit of appealing to the masses with their device security and software longevity. The Galaxy A36 comes with an incredible promise of 6 generations of Android updates! I wonder if some of these devices will even last that long.
Another reason to go for this
budget Android phone is that it’s the first to benefit from Galaxy AI features called “Awesome Intelligence”. After reviewing, I can’t help but recommend the Galaxy A36 as not just an option for Samsung users but for Android fans seeking a good budget smartphone with extended software support.

3. Motorola Moto G 2026 - best cheap Android phone under $200
The Motorola Moto G (2026) isn’t a huge upgrade if you're using last year's
best affordable Android phone, the Moto G (2025) which features the same Dimensity 6300 chip. It is a decent replacement if you’re stuck on a two or three year old Android phone.
Motorola’s design philosophy is closely maintained with the PANTONE-certified colorways and vegan leather back panels. This Moto G (2026) variant comes with a 6.7-inch display (720x1604 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate, again same as the Moto G (2025).
The device is packed with a 5,200mAh which isn’t bad for a budget Android phone under $200. The charging support is a 30W charger which honestly could have been better.
The camera department is a mixed bag with below-par photography from the 2 MP macro camera that accompanies the decent 50MP main camera. The best of the cameras is the 32MP which offers better photo quality but still isn't perfect.
Impressively for a phone from the
cheap Android phones category, the Motorola Moto G (2026) ships out running Android 16 and Motorola’s clear Hello UI that’s loaded with special actions and useful shortcuts.
At $200 you can’t expect too much RAM which is limited to 4GB RAM with internal storage restricted to 128GB. Another disadvantage is the measly two years of software support offered by Motorola.

5. Motorola Moto G Stylus (2025) - best inexpensive Android with stylus
Motorola has become a champion in
cheap Android phones that deliver. A particularly affordable model that sticks out is the Moto G Stylus 2025, one of the rarer models to house a functional stylus.
You won’t be overpaying just for the stylus because the specifications are quite good as well. A somewhat massive 6.7-inch pOLED screen that delivers an impressive viewing experience with the 120Hz refresh rate.
Performance is spotless courtesy of a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip from Qualcomm along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The specifications are rounded out by a sizable 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W wired charging and the 15W wireless charging is truly a bonus!
The headline of this
cheap unlocked Android phone is the in-built stylus which is capable of drawing and note-taking although it isn’t a premium accessory by any means. The stylus clicks into a slot positioned on the bottom bezel.
Another highlight of all premium and
budget Motorola Android phones under $500 and above is their vegan leather back panels which are made in collaboration with color expert, PANTONE.

There's a crisp 6.77-inch AMOLED display which clocks a 3000 nits peak brightness score. The display’s resolution is 1080x2392 pixels and features a 120Hz refresh rate.
The internals are headlined by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. Doesn’t seem like a bad combination given the price comes in at under $400 for a phone that looks classy with its clear back panel.
