How to Turn Off Ads on Xiaomi, Redmi, & POCO Mobiles

Are you out of patience when it comes to aggressive mobile ads on your Xiaomi Note mobile phone? You can turn off ads on Xiaomi, Poco, and Redmi mobiles by disabling MIUI System Ads (MSA). Or you can disable ads from individual apps by going through them one at a time to App Profile/Account → Settings → Disable Notifications/Turn Off Ads.

This guide shows you how to disable ads on HyperOS on Xiaomi mobiles and other devices under the Xiaomi manufacturer.

The mobile manufacturer Xiaomi also produces mobiles under the sub-brands Poco and Redmi, making it a major player in the global mobile market. The HyperOS user interface is featured on all mobiles and tablets made by Xiaomi.

How to Turn Off Ads Using MIUI Settings on Xiaomi, Redmi, & POCO Mobiles

Entering the main Settings and turning off MIUI System Ads (MSA) should help you disable system-wide ads and recommendations.

Step 1: Go to Settings and find the menu for Fingerprints, Face Data & Screen Lock, alternatively placed under Passwords & Security for a few Xiaomi mobile phones.

Step 2: Click on Authorization and Revocation

Step 3: Make sure the toggle for MSA is off and confirm it by pressing the Revoke button

How to Turn Off Personalized Ads on HyperOs

Many phone users consider this the most efficient and simple method to turn off ads on Xiaomi and Redmi mobiles.

Step 1: Click Settings and then enter the Privacy menu.

Step 2: Select Ad Services or Advertising Services, and turn off Personalized Ad Recommendations

How to Turn Off Ads in Individual Apps on Xiaomi, Redmi, & POCO Mobiles

The above two methods to disable ads on Redmi, Xiaomi, and Poco mobile phones will wipe out the majority of irritating mobile advertisements. However, ads will still appear in standalone system apps which require individual and manual disabling of ads.

Security: Settings → turn off Show Recommendations
Mi Browser: Profile → Settings→ Advanced→ turn off Show Ads
Themes: Account → Settings → turn off “Show Ads” and “Personalized Recommendations”
Music: Profile → Settings → disable Allow Permanent Notifications → Advanced Settings → disable Show Ads & Personalized Recommendations
Downloads: Click on the three dots menu → Settings → disable Show Ads
Mi Video Player: Profile → Settings → disable Personalized Recommendations
App Vault: Menu→ Manage Services →disable App Suggestions & Ads

We know this will help you turn off ads on Xiaomi, Poco, and Redmi phones that come with HyperOS. 

However, know that not every ad can be turned off using these methods. Some will remain!
