Indian Trading Apps Stop Due to Cloudflare Outage
Leading Indian trading apps faced a short outage on 5th December 2025 leaving users unable to trade.
The outage was caused when technical partner Cloudflare faced an outage of their own, fortunately the outage was short-lived (12 minutes long) before services were reinstated and affected platforms took to their official social media handles to announce the resumption of trading services.
Some of the best trading apps in India were affected by the outage that took users unprepared. Groww, Zerodha, Upstox, and Angel One users were left unable to trade stocks, while others reported being unable to even log into their account.
Naturally, concerned users took to social media to vent their frustrations and support to try and resolve the issue or gather information about the sudden outage which took place during trading hours on a Friday.
Cloudflare is a service provider, acting as a reverse proxy, sitting between users and websites is used by some of the biggest tech names on the Internet, including Perplexity, X, ChatGPT, AI Chatbot Claude, and more.
More Disruption Coming?
This isn't the first time Cloudflare failed its clients. Remember the infamous outage in November that almost took down half the internet?
Cloudflare outage blacked out numerous high-profile services at once, the most known names being X and content creation tool ChatGPT.
Since Cloudflare secures and boosts performance, these recent glitches are concerning with the downtime undoubtedly costing their clients.
